Latinx Golf receives a commendation from the City of  San José  for [their] work to make golf and STEM more accessible for Latinx youth.

"Recently Alexia Gutiérrez '20 received a commendation from the San José City Council and Mayor Sam Liccardo for her work to make golf and STEM more accessible for Latinx youth through her organization, Latinx Golf. 

Since early 2018, the Latinx Golf program has offered complimentary golf clinics, golf lessons and STEM-focused activities to engage first-generation-to-college Latinx elementary, middle, and high school students. Alexia's program strives to make the connection between golf and related STEM fields." …
